You must be wondering what i mean by kite runner rite? It is actually a novel by Khaled Hosseini, recommended reading by yingz. I finished reading the entire book overnight... from 8pm to 5am...machiam my working hrs =x (to hannie: thats why i say i go bi guan haha) It is extremely addictive,even better den da vinci code or angels and demons. It made me forsake my sleep, and when i'm 1/3 tru, i knew i'm not gonna slp until i finish.
The story stretches from afghanistan, pakistan to the U.S Kite fighting is an important event in winter afghanistan. When the last kite is being cut, people will run after the kite, returning wif the kite is an honour~ That is where the "Kite Runner" title came from... (suddenly remember the times when we tried to fly kites on my birthday... total failure T_T) It exposes the many emotions of us human... make you really think hard bout it...
Most importantly is when you have a guilt, dun hide from it or it will be a wound that will never heal, self reproaching n being a insomaniac doesant help one bit. Instead, face ur guilt n see wat u can do bout it~ This book is real good.
When i was reading the book, it brought me memories when i was in army... how we had booked out and travelled to woodlands library to borrow books. I read quite a bit last time... from astrology, astronomy, geomancy, blood types, sightings of ghost, character building etc, practically anything that intrest me ^^ Actually i love to read... but after army, i was so tied down wif my work, dun even have time for myself, let alone readin leisurely.. so i gradually forgotten the joy of leisure reading (not studying)....
It feels great to retrieve that feeling...the joy to read...
