It has been a tremendous experience in Vietnam. Have seen many things that would be unusual in the 'Singapore context' and also seen sights u would imagine in ur wildest dreams so let me re-count... too long le if want to recount.. i jus summarise ba with things i learned =x
we reached the airport with tonnes of excitement and to our amazement, the entire tour group only have 2 pax... me n yingz =x so we have a personal chauffeur and tour guide n we travel in a car
frozen lime juice can be... not cold de.. they put sugar at the tip of de glass so that it looks 'frozen' -_-"
*but the weather is super hot!*
saw de corpse of ho chi minh in his mausoleum..
we went to the temple of literature, it is really a place that open our eyes... it is to worship confucious and here is also the first uni of vietnam.
the hotel room view is simply fantastic! facing de halong bay.. u could see people parasailing..swimming right from ur window! and its grottos is of world heritage status... we took a ferry there. it was fascinating..the power of nature, only after many many yrs den they are formed. it is hard to illustrate how in awe are we... u have to experience urself.
next we went back to hanoi for the water puppet show..they are so so interesting! no wonder it is so famous. though we cant understand their language, we feel entertained enuff jus by watching their actions of the puppets.
we reach mai chau after a long ride... it is a place for minority tribe. it is a valley village..between the hills..jus like one in a geog textbook =x looking at the carefree smiles of them make our day. we danced and singed wif them ^^ den they realised we not vietnamese *sweat* all along we have been mistaken as vietnamese.. yingz even have japanese identity =x even the oxes we seen are so so nice ^^
we walk tru revolutionary muesum *only from back door to front door =x* and toured the history museum. it is so beautiful. many artifacts of great values. but we are hungry halfway tru =x
we found the most famous ice cream shop, fanny ice cream in hanoi. it has buffet ice cream on certain days at very low prices... less den 10 bucks. they have a large variety of flavours nt found in sg ^^
vietnam is indeed a great place to enjoy ^^
